SUNDAY, APRIL 16–TUESDAY, APRIL 18
Prior to the pandemic, radiologists were struggling to address their own escalating crisis of burnout, focused on improving practice efficiency by instilling wellness culture and fostering personal wellbeing and resilience. Then, COVID-19 struck, derailing all existing routes, while highlighting pandemic-associated drivers: languishing, moral injury, remote work, and increasing workforce shortages.
Both our radiological workplace and workforce have fundamentally changed, forever.
To better define the path forward for radiology, the 2023 ARRS Annual Meeting is proud to host the first-ever Radiology Wellness Summit—a three-day expert seminar to identify and implement practical strategies for promoting workplace wellness.
Instead of traditional didactic talks, multigenerational panels of every practice type will address emerging wellness programs (recruitment and retention pipelines, non-RVU metrics, etc.), structuring wellness-fostering compensation and incentive plans, as well as redesigning workflows for reading rooms. Additionally, the 2023 ARRS Radiology Wellness Summit: Defining the Path will discuss managing, sustaining, and resourcing on-site and remote imaging teams, alongside innovative policies for cultivating cultures of positivity, optimizing the trainee experience, and even a how-to for running a “wellness vaccination clinic” at your practice or institution.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the major current contributors to stress, burnout, and lack of wellness in our contemporary radiology work environment, including additional pandemic-associated drivers
- Define contemporary strategies for instilling a culture of wellness, improving practice efficiency, and fostering personal wellbeing.
- Address the major workplace challenges that practices are trying to manage today, including staff recruitment, retention and pipelining approaches, contemporary productivity metrics, wellness compensation plans, workroom redesign, and sustaining remote teams.
Registrants can participate in these sessions at no additional cost—it’s all part of your general registration fee.
